spiritual motion

Welcome... to a place to find poems, songs and hymns, prayers, ideas, thinking out loud, questions, and more. The spirit moves us to act and grow. Life on the edge is good! Stepping off the edge is..flying! ..... MAKE POVERTY HISTORY ....

Children are what we used to be, yet still are....hopefully. They sense us clearer than we realize, or may want to even know. This poem tells us that the Lover, Jesus, doesn't shy away from them, nor lets others keep them away. We are God in this world we are 'watched' by others, but especially our children, or rather, God's children since he is their Creator. He alone 'owns' us and we own our own spirit...partners. No one owns another except in slavery which even we have abolished..though reality shows it's still alive even on this side of the world.

We are never less valued by God because of age from conception to our last breath and then we just turn inside out and let the spirit fly free. Not weighed down by gravity, or human conditioning, or any other condition. We just are!

May we learn to fly free even more each day, each moment, then time will disappear into God's time and we will know who we are within the realm of God being the centre of our living.

Peace be to all, as God knows where we each have need of it this moment. Let the Children Come, as we come too...all partners in life. The Creator never forces us to come, but waits and calls until we know somehow there's no need to be afraid, then we can truly come in freedom, trust, and "walk humbly with our God".

"Let the Children Come"

Did you hear? Were you there?
It’s the young who seem to know
To whom they do belong in soul,
Love nourishes them on to grow.

Let the children come to me,
Forbid them not! Love calls.
My youngest and most tender,
Need me; don’t build up walls.

Stern minds don’t seem open
To let people in their space,
Blocking love freely given -
There’s no time, is their case.

But, did you hear what he said?
Let the children come to me!
His blessing is a tender touch,
Playing with them on his knee.

The teacher laughed and played,
They’ll not soon forget that day.
Not too busy to live in spirit,
Let the children come, I say.

May we, let the children come!
We’ve a reason to fun and feast,
To love tenderly as Jesus did.
Come as children, none is least.

They drink in the task at hand,
Quench thirst; delight in more.
When we’re simply like a child,
Surprising gifts wait in store.

So, what are we waiting for?
Take my hand; do not roam.
Come people of every age,
See? A Child leads us home.
