1. vineyard...
grapes..into wine..into breaking bread at the table



2. root...
where we came from....God!



3. rescue...
sanctuary and the reasons for it. It is also a last resort and perhaps the only way to 'save' someone, or oneself.



4. perseverance...
People say I have it, though I wonder at times,
If it's worth it all, for we often seem mimes.
It can use you unless you know when it should end,
Life ain't always grand, but God loves is some friend.



5. divided
Divided we can do more than one thing.
But divided we could weaken and fall.
So be divided up and get tasks done, but
Be as one in God, in love not divided at all!

Welcome Back! … 2007

Summer’s on the run, so is fun in the sun.
The heat was hotter; the days were longer.
Now, it’s back to school and work to be done,
I trust you had some rest, and feel stronger.

Times ahead are changing ~ our climate,
Our air and water are concerns; war fears.
From coast to coast in our varied venues,
Time moves many ways on into other tiers.

Change seems to be a grated thing, to boot!
But comes in body as we age, also in re-birth.
The wait is hard, yet it all will begin to unfold,
Waters flow, as new Risings move upon earth.

So, here we are beginning again with unknowns!
Greet each with hugs, joy ~ resolved in growth.
Ponder, pray, play, preach and praise our God,
Gather in all ‘new’ and ‘old’ ~ God lives in both!

Welcome back! Live in the Now, our God is here!
God lives in Creation! We’re called to ‘Fear not’!
Invite in; nourish; then go out, fully live God’s love!
Neighbour, Stranger, Friend ~ the flame is caught!

Whatever good grows, water in joy and with love,
Patient as we work out varied steps we’ll chance.
In loss, in need ~ uphold all! In joy ~ give thanks!
Spirit is alive; each moment re-birthing the Dance.
