Friday's Five

Extravagant Unbusyness!

1.to care for your body:
In those wee moments...lie down with feet up; or take time to relax with what calms me down..hot drink with no caffeine, music. Hydration is important always, especially in times of stress & extras happenings. Wash my face for a cool feeling and redoing make up helps.


2. to care for your spirit
Perhaps quiet music, or silence. Silence is better at times. Taking time for a prayerful letting go of whatever has brought angst, worry, hurt, or extra over & above things....you did not need at this moment.
Also to be grateful for who and what we already have.

AND prepare for the "unexpectedness of Christmas". God will be walking in within every person in family, or friends....even strangers...!


3. to care for your mind
All of the above plus, or, for my mind a release by reading something totally off-topic. It's like a trip away to another place. Returning may be hard, but the 'away' part will ease the long waiting and patience we need to have at this time for all who show up.

4. to bring a sparkle to your eye
Enjoy! enjoy! enjoy! Life is too short to dwell in the low parts of life. Christmas is very hard for some folks. Losses, grief, memories....but this a new time and place each year, each time. Think of the message of love when we 'behold love'.

5. to place a spring in your step
All of the above will do that, or help....but do take time for you. You and others will know when you have the grace to care for yourself. You teach by example. This also honours the Lover who created each of us. And for me I will.. Write....! (see below)

Enjoy the time to indulge and dream.... and then for a bonus which one on the list are you determined to put into action? As many as I can. But prayer, rest, good nourishment, music & .... silence .... are the needed ones for sure.

Behold Love

This time of year we behold love anew,
Star and stable glow; our visions renew.
Dare follow Love’s light to its own end,
Your invitation is here, open it my friend.

Come into the light of a loving God’s grace,
Step boldly, yet in care, holy is this place.
Silently take up the message, and with it go
Out into the world, where it’s needed so.

A Child cradled safe in the angel’s soft glow,
Protected for a time, but soon he will know.
His life will bring change from loving so bold!
Hear the angel’s message ring out, as of old:

Fear not! Behold Love!

Born again in your soul!
