So, it's almost fall and we're back at it again. For years I offered a 'Welcome Back' poem for people in my church. Then it was sent out wider, so now I am putting it here as the spirit is flying ... across the ocean and south and east and west.. after all God is everywhere...right!

So, blessings to you and all do and will be doing...

'God is with us, we are not alone!'

Welcome Back - 2009

Summer! Summer? Some got it, some didn't!
Wherever you are now, it's over, Fall's here.
Gathering the tools for work, school, church,
It's clear we're tools of grace in God's sphere.

Much has come to plague us, an unending line-
Flu, wars, greed that has gone round the globe.
Yet, we know, we are based in varied rich Faiths,
Each in God's love, we're encouraged to probe.

In our time ahead, we will re-gather often, to
Keep finding ways to offer hospitable space.
Open up again and again, ourselves for growth,
We truly offer only what we have inside, grace.

'Be not afraid', comes from God's loving heart;
Changing to actions beyond our be-safe illusion,
Is the call of Jesus and his followers - yes, Us!
Becoming whole rises from profound confusion.

Be alert, ready, to 'see and hear', to gather
People, for learning, and sending back out
To meet, God in every face, also the mirror,
We stand for mercy, justice, freedom's shout!

We'll sing and love the world uPside right!
From hoarding, to abundant acceptance.
The world is meant to be One, respecting
Difference as flavour, its puzzle the dance.

So, welcome back, to Fall, 2009, onward!
Create Sabbath time for holy, healthy days!
Hold one another, and earth, in high regard!
To the One who gives life, its Life - be praise!
