The beginning of 2007 and already something flew in into my mind and my heart said ...go!

We know Jesus walked by many lakes and perhaps way down deep inside it reminded me I also love to walk by a lakeshore. I don't get to do that much now, but have fond memories of walking with a friend ...both visible and invisible ones. Whatever the weather this friend we can walk with anytime, anywhere. Love walks with us anyway, but it's wonderful to know and to be aware of this. May God bless our walking with God and with each other through 2007.

When Love Walks

When love takes a walk on the lakeshore,
Speaks of love like you’ve never heard.
Feelings arise in the depth of your soul
Ungluing the norms all at once absurd.

Engulfed in the tide of the flow and ebb,
Is the wonder that such love could exist.
How can love claim to be so profound,
Yet live in the confines of human resist?

But, walking the shore, love is vibrant, alive,
Expectant in hope, willing to carry the load.
Offering its self up, filling in empty spaces,
Released from the cave, yet nothing is owed.

Shaken, but thoroughly drenched in love’s light,
Questions fully disappear, for the mystery of love,
Can’t be known anymore than the flight of the wind.
Be assured that you never walk alone, here, or above.

Don’t be afraid to walk with love on the lakeshore,
Release to her all the wounds, wonders, desires you own.
She offers each moment for your healing, and to bless.
Your gifts too, are needed for love to thrive and be known.

Now….

Have you wondered about this lover who walks day and night?
Wanted, or not, love accompanies us all through good and strife.
It is God’s Spirit, this lover, walking with you on the lakeshore,
Granting you the privilege of all Created beings ~ the Gift of Life.
