The Living of Life

The living of life creates beginnings and endings,
It comes in learning we are vessels to be filled.
Then emptied out to help another become whole,
Filled again; we are doing as God has willed.

Empty we can receive the hurts and joys of others.
Offer God’s love through our being alive and seeing,
The other also as God’s child with needs as our own.
Now, this may fill us with the pain of the world’s being.

Take it all then, offer it to God, who fully accepts it,
Another kindred spirit will heal and bring us to peace.
Again filled up and ready vessels for the living of life,
Spirit vessels filled to be emptied, until all wars cease.

A filled vessel that stays filled, without giving of its self,
Simply returns to dust, the living of life is to begin and end,
To empty, then be filled. God’s in both the giving and receiving,
Never fear the emptiness, God knows and fills you, as friend.

There is risk in the doings of Spirit, for chaos can result,
We will not see the whole picture while earthen and dust.
The Spirit is about unseen things, but struggles are real.
Believe in the Spirit sent to guide, then follow and trust.

Trust that the earthen vessels around are wondrously filled,
Ready to offer their balm to the healing of chaos and strife.
You then will be ready, as a full vessel again to turn and bless.
And, so it goes on as beginnings and endings, in the living of life.
