Languages

Words are a type of language, but
two others have their own sway.
Actions, and tone of voice, as well,
Bring meaning to your say.

The tone often alters
the meaning of what is said,
And action opposite to both,
render the real meaning dead.

Action is the body language, seen,
and it’s too often overblown.
The tone is body language for words,
and reveal the truth, often unbeknown.

Now how can that be, you ask?

When words and tone oppose each other
Messages go astray, so, the truth is denied.
For the brain can fool you, and trick you into
using tones, or actions, where truth is belied.

Knowing how we feel then offers the clue,
of what to say, or what action to choose.
Action and tone are indeed the message.
Jesus knew this, thus lives the Good News.
